How important is your wedding cake? Well, it’s placed in the middle of your reception hall, where all your guests can see, smell, and admire it as soon as they walk into the room. It is, if not the desert for the night, a choice on your desert menu for the evening. And don’t forget all the betting your guest will do on whether or not you and your sweetheart will smear the icing on each other’s faces! So, yes, pretty important, I would say.
As photographers we love wedding cakes. Not only because they are, oh, so delicious that we forget about out healthy eating habits. Wedding cakes are beautiful! And we love to photograph them.
They come in all shape and sizes. And tastes and colors too. But every wedding cake truly reflects the tastes and personalities of the couple.
Here is a small taste of some of my favorite wedding cakes from the weddings we photographed. These delightful culinary creations not only looked great; they tasted amazing! Hopefully these will inspire you in your wedding cake selection and will make the decision making a piece of cake.
