This intimate ceremony began with the presentation of various gifts and blessings given to Chakrika by her grandparents. Halfway through the ceremony Chakrika received her first saree; as she put it on and entered the next stage of her life, it was easy to feel all the love and pride in the room as her family came together to celebrate Chakrika and her rite of passage. Family, tradition, love, and happiness all came together to make Chakrika&#8217;s day very special; and so it was.
